This extraordinary avenue of Beech trees in Co. Antrim, dates back nearly 250 years and was a popular attraction long before any location scout from ‘Game of Thrones’ passed this way. According to legend, the hedges are visited by a ghost called the Grey Lady, who travels the road and flits across it from tree to tree. These days only 90 of the original 150 trees remain and each year, one or two more are lost to storms.
